Howlite, a borate mineral with a Mohs hardness of 3.5, is typically white with gray or black veins, resembling delicate marble. Composed of calcium borosilicate hydroxide, howlite is often dyed to imitate more valuable stones like turquoise, but its natural beauty lies in its soft, calming energy. Known as a stone of patience and stillness, howlite is believed to help reduce stress and encourage restful sleep. While its appearance is serene, its structure is intricate, making it a perfect blend of simplicity and complexity.
Each sample mineral/rock is hand-picked for its size, color, consistency, and how well it represents the planet. For this reason, each one is unique in its properties and will vary from sample to sample. We've lovingly ensured that each one is an excellent example of its geological classification and the planet it represents.
